Star Gazers Inn & Observatory
Stargazers Inn & Observatory is a unique luxury, intimately comfortable bed and breakfast inn featuring a Private Observatory and Star Party with each stay of two nights or more.<p>Be sure to allow time to relax in the sauna or a refreshing dip in the inn's beautiful Indoor Heated Swimming Pool featuring saline system sanitation. No factory generated chlorine is used. Salt sanitizes the pool and provides silky soft water and does not irritate skin and eyes.
You can also unwind by the living room or library fireplaces, play the piano, or enjoy a game of billiards or darts or sing karaoke in the game room. Three outdoor decks offer views of the mountains and area wildlife. Inn amenities also include Ping-Pong, Billiards, Darts, and Karaoke. Free Internet and Wireless Internet are also available.
Each of our 5 guest rooms is uniquely furnished and have tv/vcr/dvd. If romance is in your stars, your private deepsoak candlelit spa tub and gas fireplace will set the mood. Then snuggle down into the soft down comforter topping your luxurious queen size featherbed with Cuddle-Ewe Under-Quilt. When you turn out the lights at night, bathe and sleep under thousands of "stars" that appear overhead and part-way down the walls. Handicap accessible.
In the morning, enjoy a delicious full breakfast features homemade specialties. Hors d'oeuvres and wine are served in the evening social hour. The complimentary 24-Hour Refreshment Center is stocked with fresh baked cookies and assorted snacks and beverages. Guest dining room also has a full size refrigerator, small microwave and double sink for guest use as well as a large BBQ with 2 burners on the outside dining deck.
The Star Party (included with each stay of two night or more) evening begins with an entertaining slide show. Go on a “star search” and discover the birthplace of stars. Follow a variety of stars through their evolutionary process. Manipulate the fabric of time and space and take an imaginary journey into a black hole! Visit neighboring stars with planets and bring back a postcard.
A knowledgeable star guide assists guests with a tour of the night sky using the inn’s binoculars and telescopes in the inn’s private observatory and on the 2nd story deck. Crystalline skies offer excellent stargazing opportunities. Open year round, each stargazing opportunity is uniquely different and presents a wide range of objects to see.<p>Murder Mystery Weekends are regularly scheduled. Ask about renting the house (5 rooms). Perfect for small weddings and corporate, church, and family retreats.
