Born from the notion of what a B&B experience should be, Apples was built in 1993 from the ground up by the current innkeepers - Jim and Barbara McLean. This couple painstakingly compiled the finest aspects of the B&B tradition and built them into the framework of what they call their home. Rising above the levels of excellence, these caring hosts will surprise even the most seasoned traveler. Apples B&B will certainly attract a prescribed strata of clientele. Because it was newly built in 1993, it won't have the ancestral pedigree found in historical inns, so they compensate with a sumptuous menus, and a high standard for creature comforts.
Each room has been meticulously decorated with floral print wallpaper, or faux paint and gorgeous wallpaper borders, the newest building filled with an amazing collections of apple art. 17 of the guest rooms have king-sized beds (some can be converted to extra long twins), and 2 of the guestrooms are 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms, furnished with two extra long twin beds, All have luxurious down blankets, two reclining chairs, television/vcr, gas fireplaces, and private baths (4-rooms with Jacuzzi tubs for two and turret sitting areas).
Apples B&B offers its guests the comforts of home with a full refreshment center. At the slightest whim you are free to ¯raid the fridge˜ for soft drinks, or have your fill of homemade cookies, candies, popcorn, and other munchies. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or hot cider is always available. Sparkling cider and appetizers are served every afternoon at 4:00 and a homemade dessert is brought out at 7:00. Take these delicious creations back to your room or enjoy them with your hosts and other guests around the wood-burning stove in the great room. Donˆt forget to bring your bathing suits and ease yourselves into the relaxing warmth of the bubbling outdoor spa.
Fresh coffee is available at 7:30 in the morning, followed by ascrumptious breakfast at 9:00. Their garden vegetable quiche, maple glazed smoked turkey ham, blueberry scones, pineapple cranberry bran muffins, cranberry applesauce, and fruit yogurt with their homemade granola is just a sampling of their many menus. Donˆt plan on walking away hungry.
